Gymnastic Fundraising – Put The Entire Team To Work

When you are looking to do a gymnastic fundraiser, you need to use all the energy and determination gymnasts usually have. You should focus on these two aspects to delineate your gymnastic fundraising. After all, you need all the support that you can get.

One of the things that you need to have in mind is that capturing all this energy and determination may not be as simple as it may seem. You will want to ensure that you will be able to show the talent of the team at the gymnastic fundraiser and, at the same time, allow the gymnasts to have a great time as well.

So, with this in mind, here are the three best ideas for gymnastic fundraising that you can use to showcase the effort, dedication, determination, and joy of the gymnasts:

#1: Create A Gymnastic Fundraising Video

Creating a gymnastic video is a great way to show off the talent of the gymnasts. When it comes to gymnastics and capturing all the moments, a video is perfect. You will be able to show athletes in action doing what they love.

Since we understand that you don’t have a high budget to set up a gymnastic fundraiser, creating a video is quite affordable. You can simply request a camera for the video and media departments and someone on the team should know an amateur film maker.

Make sure that you use some energetic music to follow along with the video. It will be the perfect complement.

One of the things that you should have in mind when you are creating this video for the gymnastic fundraising is that it doesn’t need to be very long. According to the main purpose, you just want to focus on the team member’s best moments. This is what sells.

Incase you want to give the video a more personal touch, you can ask for each one of the gymnasts to say a couple of lines. The main expense that you will have (which is a rather small one) is to buy CDs or DVDs so that you can sell to your community. You can even add the autographs of the gymnasts and sell the CDs or DVDs for a bit higher price.

While a gymnastic fundraising video tends to work very well, not all gymnastics teams may be willing to do so or may not have the tools to do it in the first place. If this is your case, you can simply make a calendar instead, for example. While the main idea remains the same – show off the talent of the gymnastics team -, instead of shooting a video you will get powerful images to sell.

You should consider using photos of all the team members individually as well as photos of the entire team performing. Ultimately, it depends on the number of members your team has.

Including your team’s slogan and logo in the calendar is a must. To save some money, you can ask your school to use their cameras to get the best photos. In addition, you will likely find someone who volunteers to act as a graphic designer for the calendar.

As soon as you have your calendar ready, just set a date and place where you can have all the team together ready to autograph the calendars and sell them off. Make sure that you spread the word about the gymnastic fundraising to parents, grandparents, uncles, friends, everyone you know. This will ensure that the fundraiser will be a success.

#2: Children’s Gymnast For A Day

There are many different approaches and ideas that you can use for your gymnastic fundraising. Having an event with young kids who love gymnastics is a great one. After all, this won’t only allow you to show off the team’s talent as it will also show your community that the gymnastics team helps kids to get involved in their sport.

All you need to do is to get in touch with local community centers and elementary schools in your city. Ask them if they would like to join the “Kid Gymnast For A Day” where they would need to make a small donation in exchange to take kids to see a gymnastic demonstration at your school.

You can start the gymnastic fundraising event with a showcase of your best tricks. Then, you should proceed with simpler tricks that you can later teach kids after the showcase. This will allow them to get involved and you will both have a lot of fun.

Notice that you will need to ask the permission of both kid’s parents and teachers but they should be willing to do so. After all, you will be allowing kids to enjoy a different activity.
