• Today, Keller Graduate School of Management is one of the largest graduate management schools in the U.S. with approximately 30,000 alumni from coast to coast.
• 1973 – The Very Beginning

Keller Graduate School of Management was founded as the CBA Institute in July 1973 in Chicago, Ill., by Dennis Keller and Ron Taylor. The CBA Institute originally offered a Certificate in Business Administration and became the forerunner of the ‘Executive MBA’ programs that emerged decades later. Their innovative practitioner approach was designed to serve the needs of working adult students and the companies that employed them, and was based on teaching practical business skills that could immediately be applied at work. This real-world approach, combined with high quality student service, provided the foundation for the Keller graduate management educational experience.

• In 1987, Keller Graduate School of Management acquired DeVry Institute of Technology as Dennis Keller and Ron Taylor completed a leveraged buyout of DeVry from the Bell and Howell Education Group. After the merger, Keller continued to expand geographically.
• In February 2002, Keller Graduate School of Management and DeVry Institute of Technology merged as DeVry University, and was formally approved and recognized by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association.

Addmission Requirement

• General Keller Admission Requirements
  • If you hold a bachelor’s degree from a university-recognized institution, you are eligible for admission to Keller Graduate School of Management. Other than demonstrating math and verbal skills proficiency, as described in prerequisite skills requirements below, no specific undergraduate concentration or preparatory coursework is required for admission. However, if your undergraduate GPA is below 2.70 on a 4.0 scale, you must achieve acceptable scores on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Keller-administered admission test. The Keller-administered test may be completed, by appointment, wherever the University’s graduate programs are offered or through School’s Assessment Center. Admission test scores are valid up to five years from the date tests are completed.
  • If you are an International student applying from outside the United States, you need to hold a degree recognized as equivalent to a U.S. baccalaureate degree to be eligible for admission. You also will need to fulfill Keller’s English-Proficiency Requirements, as all instruction and services are provided in English. See International Section for additional details.
• Prerequisite Skills Requirements
  • As a Keller applicant, you will need to demonstrate math and verbal skills proficiency. Proficiency can be demonstrated by submitting acceptable GMAT, GRE or Keller-administered test scores, or through prior coursework performance. Selected programs have additional program-related prerequisite skills requirements, which are noted in the program descriptions and in the Graduate Academic Catalog.
• English-Proficiency Requirements for Nonnative Speakers of English
  • All instruction and services are provided in English.
  • In addition to fulfilling all other admission requirements, applicants from countries where English is noSt the primary language spoken, and applicants whose native language is not English, must demonstrate English-language proficiency by providing evidence of one of the following:
  • Having scored at least 550 on the paper-based Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), or at least 213 on the computer-based TOEFL, or at least 79 on the Internet-based TOEFL.
  • Having successfully completed a University-recognized advanced English as a Second Language (ESL) course.
  • Having successfully completed at least 30 semester-credit hours of the qualifying baccalaureate degree or an advanced degree at a post-secondary institution at which English was the language of instruction.

To enter a graduate degree program, you must:

* have an undergraduate degree from a regionally accredited, or candidate for accreditation, or approved nationally accredited college or university, or a comparable degree from a recognized institution outside the United States, and a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale) as shown on the undergraduate degree posted transcript.
* provide verification of a minimum of three years of significant full-time, post-high school work experience. Note: A year of health care experience is required for the Master in Health Administration degree program. Verification of work experience is not required for the Master of Science in Accountancy and certain Master of Business Administration programs.
