All India Engineering / Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE), the is the gateway to pursue Engineering and Architecture at the undergraduate level in the country, conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). AIEEE is the prestigious national level entrance examination for engineering conducted to get admission in the top ranked colleges in India.

The AIEEE results of the test would be announced by the end of the May or in the first week of June. Candidates are ranked on an all India basis and also according to their position in state.

EAMCET Engineering Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test is conducted by JNT University on behalf of APSCHE. This examination is the gateway for entry into various professional courses offered in Government/Private Colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

The primary key is posted in the website www.jntuap.ac.in and any queries/objections may be referred before May 15. The committee of EAMCET will meet on May 17 and consider the objections if any and final results will be announced on May 18. Prof.Rajgopal said from the academic year 2007-08, foreign students will also be allotted seats for admission into JNTU, the most prestigious university and said that local candidate will not be deprived of as their legitimate seats these are of ‘Super-numery seats’.

This new grading system, grades will be A1 to E of 9 grades will be declare. The student obtained total marks will be one grade and subject wise also be a separate grade will be allotted. Grades will be calculated on highest marks scored in all subjects. Top grade A1 will give to the highest marks scored first 12.5% students. The Students got less than 35 marks in any subject, those students will be allotted “E” grade and who fail to clear the exam those will get “F” grade.

Grades details are:

A1 grade – Top students up to 12.5%
A1 grade – Top students 12.5% to 25%
B1 grade – Top students 25% to 37.5
B2 grade – Top students 37.5% to 50%
C1 grade – Top students 50% to 62.5%
C2 grade – Top students 62.5% to 75%
D1 grade – Top students 75% to 87.5%

1.1 A Common Entrance Test, designated as Engineering, Agricultural and Medical Common Entrance Test – 2009 (EAMCET – 2009) of Andhra Pradesh will be conducted (as per G.O.Ms.No. 16 Edn.,(EC) Department Dt:25/2/2004 and its amendments) by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad – 85 for entry into the first year of the following professional courses offered for the academic year 2009-2009 in the State of Andhra Pradesh.

a) B.E/B.Tech courses

b) B.V.Sc and A.H/B.Sc (Ag)/B.Sc (Hort)/B.F.Sc/B.Tech (FS&T)/B.Sc (CA&BM) courses

c) MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BNYS courses

d) B. Pharm courses.

2. Eligibility

2.1 The minimum qualification to appear for EAMCET-2009 is

a) A pass in Intermediate Examination or appearance at 2 nd year Intermediate Examination (10 + 2 pattern) conducted by the A.P. Board of Intermediate Education, with appropriate optional subjects or its equivalent thereto.

b) A pass at Diploma examination or appearance at 3 rd year Diploma Examination in Engineering conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training, A.P. or its equivalent thereto. Diploma candidates are eligible to apply for B.E/B.Tech courses only.

2.2 In case of such students who appear for the entrance Test, pending result of their qualifying examination, their entry shall be subject to their securing a pass in the said qualifying examination.

2.3 Candidates should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh as defined in the A.P. Educational Institutions (regulations for admission) order 1974 and its amendments (vide G.O.P.No. 646 dt: 10-7-79 of Education (W) Department).

3. Detailed information regarding eligibility, age, and syllabi etc., is given in the “Instruction Booklet”, supplied along with the application form.
4. Requisition for the Application form:
Candidates with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent course should submit “E” category application for Engineering (B.E/B.Tech/B.Tech (Ag.Engg) /B.Tech (Dairying)/ B.Tech (FS&T) (MPC) /B.Sc (CA&BM) (MPC) and B. Pharm (MPC) courses.
Candidates with Biology, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects in their Intermediate or its equivalent course should submit “AM” category application for Agriculture (B.V.Sc., and A.H/B.Sc (Agr)/B.Sc (Hort)/B.F.Sc/B.Tech (FS&T) (Bi.P.C)/B.Sc (CA&BM) (Bi.P.C)/ Medical (MBBS/BDS/ BAMS/BHMS/ BNYS) and B. Pharm (Bi.P.C) courses.
Eligible candidates who intend to seek admission to both the courses in 4.1 and 4.2 have to submit “E” and “AM” category applications in a single cover only, so that the same test center can be allotted for both the tests.
Applications form together with the enclosures including the “Instruction Booklet” can be had in person (not by post) on payment of Rs. 250/- (this amount covers the cost of application, fees for entrance test, and towards Service charges for Post offices) in cash AT ALL THE HEAD POST OFFICES AND ALL e-SEVA CENTRES within the state of Andhra Pradesh.
5. How to submit Filled in Application form:
EAMCET – 2009 application may be submitted online or offline. For details refer to item VIII of “Instruction Booklet” for Engineering (E) and Agriculture and Medicine (AM) Categories of applications.
