Information regarding MHT-CET conducted by the Maharashtra government for students who have completed the HSC examination, how to prepare for it and about its Medical/Engineering Entrance Exam.

The following will be of help in revising the topics covered in the 12th standard. A self study will help you refresh your memory and prepare you for the challenge.

Physics

Chemistry

Biology

Mathematics

Once you are done with the revision take the tests which will help you analyze your progress time and again.

Remember the following:

1. A light breakfast is very essential. NEVER go to an exam on an empty stomach.
2. Be at the venue at least half an hour before the exam commences.
3. Remember to carry your admit card, receipt-cum-Identity card, exam pad and at least three black point pens of the best quality.
4. Snap on a watch in order to pace yourself during the exam.
5. Do not keep reading till the last moment. Relax yourself from the previous evening itself. Listen to some soft music and do not PANIC when you see the question paper. Calm yourself down and concentrate!
6. Listen carefully and clarify any doubts regarding the directions, with the invigilator.
7. Once the question papers are given ensure that you have the whole set and nothing is missing. In case of any discrepancy, inform the invigilator.
8. The particulars on the Question Booklet should be filled out correctly.
9. Go through the complete question paper before you start attempting to answer.
10. You may go blank sometimes because of the pressure before the exam. If this happens, concentrate for a few minutes which will boost your memory. Once the first 30 minutes are done with and you have answered some questions, it will be smooth sailing and you will emerge a winner.
11. Do not waste time over tough questions. Instead attempt all the ones which you are sure of first but make sure you mark the unattempted ones so that you do not end up skipping any question.
12. With MCQ or multiple choice questions do not do guess work.
13. With numerical problems read, understand, recollect the formula before solving.
14. Do not recheck in the first half hour of starting the exam but keep in mind the time frame and adjust your pace of writing accordingly.

XAT (XLRI Admission Test) is a very popular MBA entrance examination which provides admission to several management programs at LIBA, Loyola institute of business administration, XISS, XIM and XLRI. Among all these, XLRI is ranked among the top five B-schools in India and is very reputed.

XAT (XLRI Admission Test) is conducted by the Xavier labor relations institute each year. Usually, the notification for the applications arrives by the last week of august. The exam is usually conducted on the first week of January and the interviews are held by the month of March.

A candidate must possess a 3 year bachelor degree or an equivalent certification of any discipline and should be recognized by the association of Indian universities in order to be eligible to write the XAT (XLRI Admission Test)

The question paper consists of 200 questions which you’ll need to be answer in 120 minutes. When compared to other MBA entrance tests, this is tougher since the time limit is very low and the numbers of questions are more.

The XAT question paper is divided into three sections with sectional timing. The sections include,

Logical reasoning

Data interpretation

Quantitative ability

Essay writing

Each correct answer would fetch you 1 mark and 1/3rd of a mark would be deducted for each wrong answer. A candidate who attempts 120 questions and gives 100 correct answers will have bright chances of getting selected than a candidate attempting all the questions with 150 correct answers.
After you finish the sections, additional fifteen minutes will be provided for essay writing. Your English writing skills will be tested in this part of the section.

After the test, the short-listed candidates will be called for a group discussion where they would be expected to solve the real time problems. Candidates who make efficient decisions will be considered for a personal interview after the group discussion process.

Selection and rejection of candidates is solely based on the discretionary power of the institute that conducts the selection process. Based on the ranks and performance, they would be called for XLRI, LIBA, and XIM etc.
