UB launched its operation in the early 60’s. It is situated in Bardhaman, to the west Bengal in India. The university has several undergraduate colleges located at various districts of the country.

Computer center- student pursuing information technology or computer related courses have a very well set up computer center with internet based computers that allows them carry out their practical and internet research without experiencing difficulties.
Health center- the university has a well developed modern health center. The center is widely use by students pursuing medical courses in research and practical.
Instrumentation center- leadership and excellence is achieved by the university through the introductory of the research and development instrumentation center. This center provides prototype machines, fabrication, designing, welding and many more prototype processes.
Instrumentation facility (CIF) - this facility was set up to support research activities of the university by providing technical assistance, advice and access to advanced scientific equipments. The facility offers training graduate students. The center helps in: problem/fault identification, result interpretation, access to unavailable equipments and assisting in development of a problem solving plans.
University admission
Due to its good academic records in west Bengal, postgraduate and undergraduate students keep watching out for the admission advertisement notification from the university which is published basing on higher secondary and levels of graduation. In the case of research level programs, students willing to join are given and exam after which an interview is given.
