SNDT Women’s University Mumbai

Shreemati Nathibai Damodar Thackersey Women’s (SNDT) is a woman’s university in the city of Mumbai in India. Their head offices are located at Churchgate in South Mumbai, while the major campus is in Santacruz – Juhu area of Mumbai. SNDT has three campuses: Two in Mumbai and the other in Pune. Since it is a university, there are a number of collages in various parts of Maharashtra, Gujarat, Assam and Goa as well.

At present, the university has an enrolment of over 70.000 scholars. It has got four campuses situated at Churchgate, Santacruz-Juhu, Pune and Palghar. The university has 26 collages, 38 university sections, 11 faculties. There are 11 undergraduate collages and 38 postgraduate departments. It goes on to run three girls’ secondary schools which it has taken over from the past. It is aggressively concerned in educating, investigation and expansion. This is the first university in Maharashtra to achieve a Five Star rating from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of India.

The university has worked together with state and central governments, industry, national and international organizations to expand and perform academic programs, undertake research and in working with the community. These are the partners in the university; Government of Maharashtra, diverse agencies of the Government of India, University Grants Commission, UNICEF, British Council, Association of Commonwealth Universities and Swedish International Development Agency.

Free ships and scholarships are accessible to students on requirements cum advantage basis, same as to seats which are inadequate and obtainable on advantage cum means basis. The courses offered are from Certificate, Advanced Certificate and Diploma, Post graduate Diploma, Bachelor and Master.
