Institute of Finance, Banking & Insurance, as the name suggests is an institute dedicated to the financial nity gritties. The institute has been set up in view of catering to the fast booming financial market with adequate and capable manpower both in India and abroad. The institute dates back to the year 2006. It is an initiative taken up by NIIT. It has its sponsorship draqwn from ICICI Bank.

The institute has tie ups with the prominent banks in India like the ICICI Bank, YES Bank, HDFC Bank, Kotak Mhindra Bank, ICICI Lombard, Laxmi Vilas Bank and many more for internships as well as placements. A large number of programmes are offered by IFBI. Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning & Relationship Management. It is a six months full time programme divided into 3 months of class work and 3 months of internship. A candidate willing to be admitted to this course needs to take the online ICET test conducted by the institute. The shortlisted candidate is then called for an interview for the final selection. Post Graduate Diploma in Insurance & Relationship Management, this is a six months course.

The programme is available in both full time and part time mode. Full time mode has 3 months class wok and 3 months of internship, while, the part time mode has 6 months class work and 3 months internship. The selection procedure is the same as that of the previous one. Post Graduate Diploma in Banking Operations, this is a six months full time course.

The candidates’ skills are honed as per the requirement of the modern day’s banking industry. The course is divided into 3 months of class work and 3 months of internship. Selection procedure is same as the prior two. Post Graduate Certificate in Retail Banking, it is a 5 month long part time course. Selection procedure is the same. It is for the working professionals or for the final year students. Besides there are corporate programmes and other short time programmes offered.
