Bhopal University was established in 1970. The university was then renamed to Barkatullah University in 1988 in the living memory of Prof. Barkatullah who was a freedom fighter. The university sits on 360 acres of land. The university has affiliations with more than 170 colleges.

Under the faculty of Arts the courses offered are Master of Arts in Arabic, Sanskrit, Linguistics, English, Hindi, Urdu and Persian, Diploma and Certificate in Modern Arabic Language, Certificate course in Buddhism and Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in Arabic Language and Comparative Linguistics.
The faculty of Commerce offers Masters in Commerce and M.Phil in Commerce while the faculty of Engineering offers Electronics and Communication Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. The faculty of Law offers Diploma in Labor Laws and Industrial Relation, Human Rights, Environmental Law and Consumer Protection.
The courses under the faculty of Science are Masters of Science in Physics, Material Science, Electronics, Computer Science, Information Technology, Applied Geology, Remote Sensing and Geo-informatics and M.Phil in Physics. The faculty of Life Sciences offers Masters of Science in Bio-Science, Applied Aquaculture, Zoology, Biotechnology, Microbiology and Limnology and Fisheries Sciences, M.Phil in Zoology, Fisheries Science and Fresh Water Ecology.
Depart of education offers Master of Arts in Population Education, Extension Education and Rural Development and Yoga Science, Diploma in Adult Continuing Education, Stress Management, Yoga Therapy and Yoga Science, Bachelor of Education and Certificate in Yoga Science. Finally the social faculty offers Masters in Arts in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Economics, Geography, Statistics, Environmental Studies, Sociology, Social Work and Social Anthropology, M.Phil in Psychology, Geography, Economics and Sociology and Diploma in Human Resource Development and Guidance and Counseling.

One gets the application form to join the university from the University offices or Online from the university’s website. You can also pick the admission/ application form from the 170 plus affiliate colleges. To find out if you are legible for any of the courses the university offers you can the Deputy Registrar who will take you through the requirements

I think Barkayullah University ‘s University teaching department shoud considered as autonomous excellence center for professional education , here standers are maintained no much corruptions.Entrance examinations to be taken for admissions although international exposure & International student entrancement may develop in this green UTD campus.I did MSC GEOINFORMATICS …………BESI WISHES
